U of L Proves Too Strong For EKU, Wins In A Shutout

The Eastern Kentucky University football team came away from a trip to Louisville with a 42 to 0 loss at Cardinal Stadium.

After U of L got a 14 to nothing lead early in the game, EKU got its game going and was still two touchdowns down at halftime.  But, in the second half, Louisville of the Athletic Coast Conference scored another touchdown early in the third quarter after a big run.

From there, the Cardinals got control of the game and pulled away.  The Colonels are now 1-1 and so is Louisville.  EKU travels to Terre Haute next Saturday for an afternoon contest against Indiana State.
