The Kenwick Neighborhood Association presents the 2024 Kenwick Bungalow Tour on Sunday, June 9th, 1-5 p.m. Eight homes and gardens will be stops on the tour. While every house may not be a bungalow, each one will show a different aspect of Kenwick’s unique personality. This event helps the Kenwick Neighborhood Association raise money for projects such as the Kenwick Victory Christian Church Community Garden, park updates, and helps fund neighborhood events.Date: Sunday, June 9, 2024, 1 to 5 p.m.Location: Ticket booklets can be picked up at the Victory Christian Church parking lot on the corner of Cramer and Owsley Avenues. Lexington Chamber Chorale's Past and Present Miniature Masterpieces
Kentucky’s composers and poets of past and present populate the Chorale’s final season concert, Past and Present Miniature Masterpieces. A time-honored Chorale tradition, this blending of spoken word and song pays tribute to the musical and literary history of Kentucky with an eye on its present and future. This free concert, in the beautiful outdoor setting at Ashland, concludes with a preview of repertoire for our 2024-2025 season.

The second annual JUNETEENTH FREEDOM 5K will take place on June 15, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at White Hall State Historic Park to raise funds for local charities. This event will offer both a 5K run/walk and a ONE-mile fun run/walk with overall and age group awards. Advanced registration is encouraged. Gates open to the public on race day at 6:45 a.m., with race day packet pick-up starting at 7 a.m. Early packet pick-up is encouraged on Thursday and Friday at the Madison County Public Library’s Richmond location.The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to participate in the Juneteenth Freedom 5K. All individuals at all levels of participation are welcome: running, walking, strolling, and rolling. Even a VIRTUAL option is available.
