2,953 New Coronavirus Cases Reported in Kentucky Wednesday Dec. 23

Governor Andy Beshear today announced 2,953 new cases of coronavirus in Kentucky.

Beshear also announced 26 new deaths.

The positivity rate is at 8.35%.

In a written release, the Governor thanked Kentuckians for their efforts in mitigaing the virus' spread.  "This war is far from over, but we’ve won another battle, beating back exponential growth of this virus in our state before Christmas,” said Governor Beshear. “I hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday, even if it looks a little different this year. Please be careful so we can hold on to the progress we’ve made".
