Teen's Prom Dress Made Out Of Starburst Wrappers

MARY LOUISE KELLY, host:

Good morning. I'm Mary Louise Kelly.

High school senior Tara Frey doesn't have to worry about anyone else showing up to prom wearing the same dress unless their mom also happened to weave them one out of Starburst wrappers. The dress took six years and countless bags of the candy to complete. And there's even a matching vest for Tara's boyfriend, who, when asked whether he likes it, said simply, I don't really have a choice. Oh, and the dance's theme: Candyland.
