Gov. Beshear requests more FEMA assistance for April storm victims

FEMA.gov

Gov. Andy Beshear is requesting to expand FEMA assistance for victims of April’s severe storms in 16 more counties.

That includes Bullitt, Calloway, Grayson, Hancock, Hart, Henderson, Jefferson, Lincoln, McLean, Meade, Nelson, Ohio, Powell, Trimble, Warren and Webster counties.

That comes as the federal government approved individual flood assistance for 13 counties last week.

That includes Anderson, Butler, Carroll, Christian, Clark, Franklin, Hardin, Hopkins, Jessamine, McCracken, Mercer, Owen and Woodford counties.

He’s also requested public assistance for 64 counties where damages have been reported. That includes repairs for infrastructure like roads and buildings.

Thirteen disaster recovery centers are open in all counties currently eligible for assistance.

Those affected can also apply online, by calling 800-621-3362 or using the mobile app.
