According to a statement on Rogers’ website, he was taken to an unnamed area hospital after a vehicle accident last Wednesday night. Six days later, calls and emails to Rogers’ offices in D.C. and Somerset asking about his condition weren’t returned. Rogers has been in Congress since 1981 and chairs a House Appropriations committee. The 86-year-old Dean of the House of Representatives has three opponents in the May Republican primary – David Kraftchak Jr. and Brandon Monhollen of London and Dana Edwards of Manchester.
