Bath County to build new ambulance facility

pixabay.com

Emergency transportation in Bath County is expected to be easier to come by soon.

A new ambulance services building will be built in Owingsville. This is supposed to help improve response times.

Officials welcome the help because patients from Bath County spend more than the average time being transported to a facility.

There are no hospitals in Bath County.

On Monday, Governor Beshear presented 750-thousand dollars in Community Block Grant Money to Bath County officials.

The money is managed through the Department for Local Government.

The funds will be used exclusively to construct the new ambulance services building and for CDBG administrative fees.
