Governor Andy Beshear reported 313 new COVID-19 cases Sunday in Kentucky. Of the new cases, 43 were children ages 18 and younger including a 27 day old infant. Three new deaths were also reported.
Governor Beshear and State Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack cautioned that today's reported numbers are likely artificially low due to limited data because of the holiday weekend.
Dr. Stack said there is worry over holiday crowds and socializing spreading the virus. "The choices Kentuckians make this weekend and every day will determine whether the phased reopening of our economy succeeds or fails. The choices Kentuckians make will also determine how many Kentuckians get hurt or die in the months ahead."
