This Sunday, more than a thousand zombies are expected to fill the streets as the 10th anniversary Thriller Parade dances through downtown. The recreation of Michael Jackson's classic video has become more elaborate every year. Though Thriller may have turned 25 a few years back, for many fans in Lexington, the dance never gets old.Amber Luallen, Cultural Arts Director with Lexington Parks and Recreation says, "There's just something about this event that really resonates with people of all ages." Luallen describes the event as a cultural phenomenon of its own, drawing thousands downtown every Halloween. It's also grown to include a pre-show featuring a Michael Jackson tribute group, the March Madness Marching Band, and others, followed by a Halloween parade and after party. Aspiring zombie dancers who haven't already signed up will have to wait until next year, as the deadline for entry has passed, but Luallen says everyone is welcome to enjoy the show from the sidelines.

"It's a huge, huge audience, so people need to come early and get a get spot," Luallen says.

The parade starts at 8:30 outside the Kentucky Theatre.
