Eastern Kentucky University played its first home basketball game last night against an arch-rival Ohio Valley Conference foe. The Colonels got the win against Morehead State.
The final score doesn’t tell the whole story. EKU beat Morehead state 71-68. But the Eagles led by 16 at halftime and shot 67% for the game.
Eastern won the game by forcing MSU into 27 turnovers. Scott County Sophomore Michael Moreno scored a career high 28 points to lead EKU.
