Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s basketball team takes on a highly ranked University of Tennessee team Wednesday in Knoxville. This is the second time in less than a month EKU has battled a top 25 squad.
EKU is back from a holiday tournament in the Virgin Islands. In its opening game of the tourney, Eastern fell to number 12 Kansas State. Wednesday’s opponent, UT, is ranked sixth nationally. The Colonels come into the evening game at three and three while the Volunteers are four and one, losing to number two Kansas their last time out.
Eastern senior Nick Mayo, who ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference and ninth nationally in scoring at 25 points per game, is expected to play in his 100th straight game. The EKU-UT game tips at 6:30.?
