Madison County residents now have 12 options when it comes to getting a test for coronavirus. Madison County Health Department Clinic Nurse Administrator Anne Hatton says there are seven sites in Richmond and five in the Berea area.
Hatton said those locations can accommodate about 1200 tests a day. She noted it’s hard to know what the need will be a month from now. “I think it’s too early to tell that. You know we’re just now starting to open things back up. We know that currently some of the providers have told us that they are not at max capacity,” said Hatton.
Hatton said some testing locations in Madison County are testing both symptomatic citizens and those with no symptoms. She added some are taking same-day requests. As far as children being tested, Hatton suggests that question be put to a child’s pediatrician.
