During a pre-recorded coronavirus update Friday afternoon Governor Andy Beshear announced 948 new cases of coronavirus in Kentucky, bringing the state total to 55,704.
Governor Beshear also announced 9 new deaths on Friday, bringing that total to 1,044.
The positivity rate is up to 4.7% as of Friday afternoon.
