Friday afternoon Governor Andy Beshear announced 809 new coronavirus cases in Kentucky. That brings the total number of cases in the state to 51,677.
Gov. Beshear also announced 11 more deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, 987 Kentuckians have died from the virus.
The positivity rate in Kentucky as of Friday afternoon is 4.7%.
