Feedback on Music Listings, Repeat Shows and Lexington Street Names

Here’s a note we received from listener, Seth, “ At 10:00 pm, Friday you have "Overnight Jazz". Is there any way I could get a list of the artists from that?”

What I wrote back to him is that 10:00 on Friday’s the show is “Jazz Night in America.” There is a link for it’s listings online at the NPR website at www.npr.org

Regarding Overnight Jazz, which runs from 11:00 p.m Friday until 5:00 a.m. Saturday, there are supposed to be links with listings available for each hour but I believe there have been technical issues with them.  We will look into it and forward you a link if we can come up with one.

Here’s a voicemail from last week from Joe in Lexington, “I just had a couple pronunciations of street names for you guys for your traffic reports.” He went on to give us the correct pronunciations for Angliana Ave. and Tiverton Way in Lexington.

This email came from listener, Caleb, “I am just curious why “This American Life” has been a rerun on Saturday 12-1pm. I know that I have heard the story about Michael Brown’s school district before. If I remember correctly last week I had heard before as well. Are they always reruns, or is this seasonal?”

And, what I wrote to Caleb went something like this, “I believe you are correct on both counts.  This American Life produces, I believe, about 39 new shows each year.  They tend to sprinkle in “re-runs” within the regular schedule throughout the year but especially during the summer months and around the winter holidays.”
