Feedback on Dinner Party Download and Spoonbread Festival Story

Here’s a note by email from listener Virginia, “I just made a contribution and commented that I love the station.  I did not say ‘…all but one thing - Dinner Party Download.’  I just turn it off. Thanks for making my life more interesting.”

From the Listener Comment Line, “Whoever the gentleman was that just made a reference to the Spoonbread Festival controversy in Berea, accidentally referred to it in the first phrase of the All Things Considered report that it was a decision made by the Berea City Council. That’s not correct. "

The caller continued, "It was strictly a decision made by the Berea Chamber of Commerce to cancel the Spoonbread Festival.  It was just a small error there that made it sound like it might have been a city council decision but that’s definitely not true.”

As the person who read the story Friday afternoon, I can tell you I am especially grateful for the correction, as we are for all Listener Feedback.  Just so you know, the version of the story we read was from the Associated Press.  But that does not excuse us from checking the facts and we apologize for the error.

We’re always interested in your feedback.  Write to us at: WEKU@eku.edu, post on Facebook or send a tweet @889weku or leave a voice message at 859-622-1657.
