Lexington Officials Consider Two Trick or Treat Events

examiner.com

Children in the Lexington could possibly participate in two community wide trick or treat events this year.  Plans for one busy Halloween weekend are beginning to come together.

The last weekend in October is sure to be hectic with Breeders Cup racing at Keeneland, University of Kentucky football, and Halloween activities.  Traditional trick or treat is still scheduled for October 31, but Police Chief Mark Barnard says a second public event is also likely.  “We’re currently speaking to other entities to have a large enough event, that if people want to take their children to trick or treat or some event, that they’ll be able to have that option,” said Barnard.

Barnard says city officials are considering offering a trick or treat event, possibly on Thursday night, in addition to Halloween night. Details about Halloween activities will likely be worked out in the next few weeks.
