Focus on Business: How the Building Industry Meets Demand with a Shortage of Licensed Workers

In this week's Focus on Business, Host Tom Martin sits down with Todd Johnson, Executive Vice President of the Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky. 

Todd Johnson explains the shortage of skilled workers in licensed trades and how it is affecting the building industry. How the shortage began and why it is getting worse, in Part One of this two part series.

In Part Two, Johnson talks about the programs available for licensed and skilled trade workers. He shares how the Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky helps students manage school and work life and how they help students find employment upon graduating the program.
