Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice into an enchanted world of mystery and confusion. Alice begins in a Hall of Doors, eats questionable treats, and after some shape shifting, is off to explore. She meets flowers and mushrooms come-to-life, attends a Caucus Race and tea party, and runs into the mischievous Cheshire Cat, a life-sized puppet manipulated by seven dancers. She then earns herself an invitation to play croquet with the temperamental Queen of Hearts and must be careful not to lose her head.
The adventure continues after the 2pm Saturday show with "The Mad Hatter Tea Party." Children and families are invited for drinks, sweets, and crafts with the main characters of the ballet immediately following the Saturday matinee in the lower level of the Opera House. The tea party will be raising funds for BYB’s Tuition Assistance Program.
