Damon Albarn of Britpop band Blur says the band is going on hiatus — again

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "SONG 2")

BLUR: Woo-hoo.

INSKEEP: This familiar song comes from the British band Blur - woo-hoo. The band is going on hiatus again. The singer, Damon Albarn, says the business is just too much, which has happened to him before. The group broke up in 2003, only to be lured back in. Now they're quitting again. And Albarn adds when speaking with a French magazine, I'm not saying I won't do it again - his own great resignation. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
