Kenneth Moore, a 50-year-old man from Sturgis, was arrested and charged in July of 2025 with the possession of three child sex dolls and dozens of child sex abuse videos and images.

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman is filing a brief in support of a state law that bans possession of child sex dolls and computer-generated child porn, his office announced Wednesday.

It comes as part of a larger case in Union County Circuit Court. Kenneth Moore, a 50-year-old man from Sturgis, was arrested and charged in July of 2025 with the possession of three child sex dolls and dozens of child sex abuse videos and images.

Moore argues that being prosecuted for possessing such material violates his constitutional rights.

Coleman, and the attorney general’s legal team call Moore’s arguments “absurd.” A statement from his office says they’re filing the brief to “restore common sense, and uphold legislation created to keep Kentucky’s children safe.”

The Kentucky General Assembly passed House Bill 207, which bans such materials, in 2024. The bill passed unanimously in the House and Senate and was signed into law by Gov. Beshear.
