Small Business Administration opens second center for storm victims in Pulaski County

U.S. Small Business Administration

Another Small Business Administration center for victims of southern Kentucky tornadoes is open in Pulaski County.

That center is available for those who need loans to to replace or repair their homes or other property. It’s open at the county’s emergency management office.

Those loans are available for homeowners, renters, nonprofits and businesses. Residents can apply for up to $500,000 to replace or repair their homes, and can also borrow up to $100,000 to replace or fix personal property.

Businesses can borrow up to $2 million to replace or repair their real estate, equipment or other assets.

It’s the second such center open in the area. The SBA set up a center in London earlier this month.

SBA officials are also available at nearby FEMA disaster recovery centers. Victims can also apply online or by calling the SBA helpline at 800-659-2955. More info can be found by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. The deadline to apply is July 23.
