Lexington’s Veterans Affairs Healthcare System is holding a town hall Thursday in Morehead. Public Affairs Officer Anna Mills said Director Russell Armstead will be among those providing updates and answering questions.

“Some of our subject matter experts on the PACT Act, travel, our caregiver program, care in the community, enrollment, our suicide prevention team, they'll be all they'll all be there to answer any questions that veterans might have.”

Thursday’s event follows a March town hall in Georgetown and another in London in July. Mills said the meetings are a key part of their outreach and education efforts.

“We're getting out into our service area, meeting veterans face to face, answering questions that they have about VA health care so they can come in and get the services that they've all earned.”

Thursday’s town hall, which is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 126, will be livestreamed on Facebook and online participants will also be able to ask questions.
