WEKU wins three prestigious regional Murrow Awards

WEKU continues to be the most-awarded radio station in Lexington. On Tuesday, the station was honored with three prestigious Edward R Murrow awards.

WEKU received awards for Best Digital Site for Eastern Standard, Excellence in Writing for a story on Sound Healing, and Best Feature Reporting for the Battle of Richmond.

The RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards are among the most prestigious in broadcast and digital news.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of broadcast and digital journalism.

WEKU's winning regional entries advance to the National Murrow Award competition.
