Kentucky will be represented Friday in the NC double A men’s basketball tournament as Morehead State takes on West Virginia. It’s the first time the Eagles have been to the big dance in a decade.
The last time Morehead competed in the tournament, the Eagles pulled a shocker, upsetting the University of Louisville. Most recently, MSU took the Ohio Valley Conference title with three wins including a three point victory over Eastern Kentucky University and then a 15 point win over Belmont.
The last time Morehead and West Virginia tangled was in 2011 and the Mountaineers won by 35 points. The NCAA game Friday night is scheduled for 9:50.
