Keeneland Planning For Spectators During Spring Meet

With snow on the ground and sub-freezing temperatures in the air, it may be hard to envision spring-time activities.  But, Keeneland is looking ahead.

In just under two months, weather conditions are likely to be quite different than this week.  Keeneland is announcing the spring racing meet is scheduled for April second through the 23rd  at the historic Lexington track.

Plans now call for allowing a limited number of fans.  Keeneland Spokesperson Amy Gregory says it’s too soon to determine the exact number.  She adds attendance numbers will be within the recommended public health guidelines.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Keeneland to cancel the 2020 spring meet and hold an unprecedented five-day summer meet in July.
