Keeneland Announces Fall Meet Will Be Closed To The Public

Keeneland officially announced Tuesday the upcoming fall meet at the historic Lexington track will be run without spectators.  This announcement follows a similar one this past weekend about no fans for the early November Breeders’ Cup Championships at Keeneland.

Keeneland said only a limited number of participants and essential personnel will be allowed to attend the live meet October second through the 24th

The track also conducted its five day meet in early July without spectators.  During the current pandemic, Keeneland President Bill Thomason says the safety of employees, participants, and fans remains a top priority.

Keeneland is currently conducting its annual September Yearling Sale with COVID-19 protocols in place.?
