Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s basketball team hosts Murray State Saturday night at McBrayer Arena.
The Colonel-Racer matchup in Richmond pits two marquis players. Murray State guard Ja Morant has garnered a lot of print nationally as a high NBA draft prospect. He tossed in 32 points last night as Murray held on to beat Austin Peay 73 to 71.
Meanwhile, EKU’s all-time leading scorer Nick Mayo also tallied 32 points in his team’s loss to arch rival Morehead 78 to 72. EKU is trying to climb its way into the post-season OVC tournament while Murray is tied for first in the league with Belmont.
Tipoff tomorrow night is scheduled for 7:00.
