The Eastern Kentucky University Colonels got a last second win Tuesday. The winning basket came from an EKU junior playing in his hometown. Back in Baltimore, Colonel guard Denzel Richardson hit a three pointer with less than a second to lift EKU to a 66-63 win over Coppin State. Eastern’s Corey Walden tied his career best with a game high 33 points. As the clock wound down, Walden was under the basket, but couldn’t get a shot off. So, he found Richardson in the corner for the game winner. EKU moves to seven and five on the year. The Colonels return home this Saturday for the final regular season non- conference game against South Carolina State.
