Four KY Teams in NCAA Tournament

The men’s NCAA basketball tournament gets into full swing tomorrow, with four Kentucky teams and the Indiana Hoosiers taking the court. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers hope to extend their surprising post-season run with a victory against top-seeded Kentucky at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville. Tipoff is 6:50pm. Western freshman forward George Fant says he’ll be ready for the Wildcats.“I’m going to play defense, I’m going to rebound. Doesn’t matter what the name says on the jersey, we’re going to keep playing the way we’ve been playing. We’ve got a game plan; we’re going to execute it,” he said.

Murray State opens tournament play at 12:15pm at the Yum Center against Colorado State.

The Louisville Cards’ first round game is at 1:40pm in Portland, Oregon, where they’ll take on Davidson.

The Indiana Hoosiers are also in Portland. They’ll face New Mexico State at 9:45pm.

The Bellarmine Knights are off until Wednesday in the men’s Division Two tournament. The defending national champs take on Alabama-Huntsville in the Elite Eight round at Northern Kentucky University.
