McGrath Urges Supporters To Push Hard As Campaign Nears End

Kentucky Democratic Party

The crowd of about 300 were pumped by the time Amy McGrath took the stage Thursday at a Get-Out-The-Vote rally in Lexington.

While McGrath workers handed out fun-size candy bars bearing the candidate's name to the crowd, the message was anything but sweet.

McGrath's Republican opponent in the 6th Congressional  District was never mentioned by name but McGrath spoke of the importance of civility in politics and cited of the plethora of negative ads run by her rival.

Instead throughout the hour-long pep rally, speaker after speaker railed against GOP Governor Matt Bevin and conservative Kentucky legislators. The mentions of Bevin's actions on pensions and right-to-work drew boos from the crowd.

The slogan of the night for Democrats gathered at the convention center?

#RememberInNovember.
