Jefferson County Voters Cast Their Ballots On Election Day

Voting appeared to be running smoothly at Iroquois High School in Louisville this morning. And a few individuals who call themselves volunteer “poll monitors” wanted to ensure that.

David A. Anderson with the Louisville Urban League is one of those volunteers. He says he arrived at the high school around 5:30 in the morning to help answer questions, and pass out masks and snacks. Anderson, who voted early, says there’s been a great energy on Election Day.

“I've always voted, I truly believe in and I just want to get everybody to do their right. Look over time, you know, some of us didn't have the opportunity at one time to vote. So, now, we have this opportunity. Let's take full advantage," said Anderson.

There are 20 polling sites in Jefferson County and voters can go to any of them regardless of where they normally vote. Polls are open till 6 p.m.
