Detecting & Overcoming Breast Cancer on Eastern Standard

While most people are aware of breast cancer today, many forget to take the steps to detect the disease in its early stages. During this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we'll discuss the disease, how it is detected and treated and meet a survivor.

The guests that will be joining us for this week's show are: Heather Shaw, Specialist and Community Events for the American Cancer Society; Dee Wooley, cancer survivor and volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery program; Eileen Smyth, Mission and Outreach Director for Susan G. Komen Lexington.

Guests Heather Shaw and Dee Wooley join host John Hingsbergen on this week's edition of Eastern Standard.

Send your questions, comments or stories about breast cancer before the show to: wekueasternstandard@gmail.com, post on the WEKU Facebook page, send a tweet @wekuest or call and leave a message at 859-622-165
