Kentucky Adding Four More Regional Vaccination Sites Next Week

Stu Johnson

Governor Beshear reported 58 coronavirus related deaths Thursday.  That number ties the second highest report during the 11- month pandemic.

The governor says the losses did not all come in this new year. “Most of them are from January.  Some of them are from December.  There may be one of two that are from November.  It’s important that we get it right and where COVID-19 was a factor that it is recorded as such,” said Beshear.

Governor Beshear announced plans for four new regional vaccination sites to open next week in Covington, Bowling Green, Glasgow, and Murray.  State Public Health Commissioner Steven Stack said district and county health departments will be receiving more doses based on population served.    Stack pleaded for patience since vaccine supply is far below demand.  “If you are not in the highest phases, the 1-A the 1-B, the folks that are at highest risk for getting the disease or highest risk for serious harm from it, please don’t try to falsify your information to get in early.  Please don’t jump the line.  This is a time where someone else may pay with their life because you jumped the line,” explained Stack.

Beshear announced 2500 additional COVID-19 cases Thursday.
