Kentucky Breaks Yet Another New Daily Covid-19 Record On Thanksgiving

Governor Andy Beshear announced 3,870 new cases of coronavirus in Kentucky on Thanksgiving.  This is the most number of cases reported ina single day.

Beshear also announced 32 new deaths related to the virus.
The positivity rate for Thursday was 8.94%.

Beshear also reported 1,747 news cases for Friday along with 4 deaths.  Friday's reporting was impacted by the Thanksgiving holiday.

Beshear asked families to avoid busy shopping areas to prevent a further escalation of COVID-19 cases. “These new case reports are truly alarming. Please be careful when you’re shopping and consider safer options, like purchasing gifts online for delivery or curbside pick-up,” said Beshear. “Wash your hands, stay six feet apart from other shoppers and wear a mask at all times. Now is the time we need everyone to buckle down, stay strong and stop this surge in cases.”
