Bluegrass Youth Ballet wraps up its 20th Anniversary Season with a performance of an original ballet, "Art Rhapsody"
The show follows the janitor of an art museum who moves from gallery to gallery, trying to find the origin of a mysterious gear. Each gallery room contains a work of art that comes to life through dance. "Art Rhapsody" features various famous artworks such as Girl with a Pearl Earring, Starry Night, and American Gothic. Additionally, work by Kentucky sculpture artist, Steve Armstrong, is featured.

Tickets purchased online through Ticketmaster will have additional fees. To waive these fees, patrons can purchase tickets in person via the Lexington Opera House box office at Rupp Arena, open 12pm-4pm on Wednesdays and Friday.

Carr Creek Lake's 45th annual lake cleanup will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday April 27th 2024. We will gather at Carr Creek Lake Marina at 8:00 a.m. for trash bag and glove distribution. $1.00 will be paid for each bag of trash collected, as well as for larger items such as tires/barrels. A free lunch will be served to all volunteers following the event.
When Circle and Square meet for the first time, they realize that they are very different from each other. Circle likes blowing bubbles, juggling balls, and twirling, while Square is happiest stacking blocks neatly and as tall as they will go. Lexington Chamber Chorale's Past and Present Miniature Masterpieces
Kentucky’s composers and poets of past and present populate the Chorale’s final season concert, Past and Present Miniature Masterpieces. A time-honored Chorale tradition, this blending of spoken word and song pays tribute to the musical and literary history of Kentucky with an eye on its present and future. This free concert, in the beautiful outdoor setting at Ashland, concludes with a preview of repertoire for our 2024-2025 season.
