King Solomon No. 8 Masonic Lodge will host a community fundraiser at the Leestown Road Kroger location in Lexington, Kentucky on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Proceeds will support the lodge’s youth program, Knights of Pythagoras (KOP).
KOP’s primary goal is to help keep young boys off the streets by providing more than just slogans about motivation. The program works to deliver critical hard and soft skills young men need to succeed—skills designed to develop character, discipline, and prepare them for leadership at the highest levels of society.
Community members are invited to stop by during the event to learn more about KOP and contribute to the program’s continued efforts.

Amann Sowell was an avid photographer who passed in 2024.  This exhibit is a photography and (Mother) Nature inspired exhibit that will feature photography by Amann, the Amann Sowell Photography Contest participants (at the Berea Urban Farm), and Gallery on Main photographers.

At the reception there will be food provided by the Gallery on Main Board, drinks, and also live music.  Come to check out the Nature inspired photography, purchase artwork (or prints), and to support the local arts!

Connect with trees, learn best practices for tree care, and come away with knowledge that you can share with your community. Kids are welcome!

Treevangelist will cover:
- how to choose the right tree for your location
- what to look for when you purchase a tree from a nursery
- the difference between the common tree “types” available for purchase
- how to plant a tree
- how to care for a tree

We will end with a tree planting so you can get your hands dirty and put into practice some of what we talked about. You may take a tree home to plant so you can experience the lifelong benefits trees provide to you, the community and the world.

The weight of the Soviet empire couldn't stop Russian composer Shostakovich and Armenian composer Babajanian from writing great chamber music. Featuring Sila Darville, violin, Bailey Yates, violin, Jonathan Crosmer, viola, Luke Darville, cello, and Madeline Rogers, piano. Free admission; donations welcome!
