In celebration of International Women's Month, the artists in this group show are all Fayette County Public Schools students who identify as female and are of international origin.

Through a variety of 2D and 3D media, each surprising piece provides a unique glimpse into these young women’s complex and deeply-felt lives.

Located at the corner of Mill & Maxwell Streets in downtown Lexington, Mill & Max Gallery has FREE PARKING and is only a 2-block walk to the heart of downtown and many other galleries.

Community members are invited to a free screening of the documentary Microplastic Madness, an optimistic take on the plastic pollution crisis as told through the eyes of a group of school children. Common Threads LEX, a new sustainability-focused partnership between the City of Lexington, the University of Kentucky and Fayette County Public Schools, is hosting the screening. This is Common Threads LEX’s inaugural event.

Pianist Bruce Brubaker, renowned for his visionary interpretations of Philip Glass and Brian Eno, presents a solo program on the 9ʼ Steinway grand piano. Known for bringing deep expressivity to Glassʼs minimalist compositions and capturing the ambient textures of Enoʼs music, Brubaker continues to shape contemporary classical music with his immersive performances.
