Ark Amusement Park Officials Consider Legal Action

answersingenesis.org

The Christian group building a massive wooden ark in northern Kentucky is considering a court battle to fight the state's rejection of the project's tax incentives.

Kentucky's tourism secretary said this week that the ark project is not eligible for an 18 million tax rebate because employees would be screened on the basis of religion.

Freedom Guard chief counsel Mike Johnson argues that such a policy is not against the law. “It’s not a remarkable thing at all.  It’s precisely what other religious organizations have been allowed to do for as long as anyone can remember,” said Johnson.

Johnson says Answers in Genesis will decide by early next week whether to file a lawsuit challenging the state’s decision.
