FEMA has issued a reminder that churches and private nonprofits may be eligible for help recovering from the April floods and May tornadoes.

On July 22, the Trump Administration announced dozens of Kentucky counties are eligible for public assistance, but the clock is ticking. Places of worship and other private non-profits can apply for partial reimbursement for debris removal, emergency work and other storm-related expenses, but they must do so by August 22.

According to a news release from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Kentucky Emergency Management will intake requests and help upload several categories of required information into the grants portal.
