Governor Andy Beshear is one of several Democrats considering a run for the White House who are visiting South Caroline.

The palmetto state’s getting plenty of attention from Democrats considering a run for the White House – including Governor Andy Beshear.

According to the Associated Press, Beshear’s visit to South Carolina this week was preceded by California Governor Gavin Newsom’s two-day stay there last week. Another California politician, Congressman Ro Khanna, also plans to campaign there a few days after Beshear. The AP reports former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, a key aide to President Clinton, is having private discussions with key South Carolina Democrats, including Congressman Jim Clyburn. Beshear will address the AFL-CIO before promoting his appeal among red-state moderates and Black voters on Thursday.
