Kentucky’s Judicial Nominating Commission announced the nominees that would fill a District Court vacancy for Clark and Madison Counties.

District Court judges deal with juvenile cases, city and county ordinances, misdemeanors and other minor law violations.

The three nominees include Darrian DeNe’ Botts of Richmond, Tyler Scott Frazier of Richmond and Michah Shawn Johnson of Berea.

Botts works in private practice with the White, McCann & Stewart law firm in Winchester.

Frazier works as an attorney for the city of Richmond.

Johnson works as a staff attorney for Circuit Judge Kristin J. Clouse, in Madison and Clark Counties.

That judicial seat has been vacant since the end of last year, when Judge Charles W. Hardin retired.
