And the rains came...

The National Weather Service reports storms could roll through most of Kentucky starting Thursday afternoon and through Saturday.

The strongest of a series of storms is expected Friday. Another, weaker storm is expected Saturday. Strong winds and heavy rain are possible.

NWS meteorologist Samantha Wilson says the weather pattern is unlike ones that caused severe storms earlier this spring.

“It's not as organized as what we saw earlier in the spring, when lines would move through. This will be a more scattered type of convection, kind of multicellular, we call it,” she said.

Wilson recommends keeping an eye on the forecast this weekend, and having a way to get weather notifications and alerts.
