Business owners in 24 Kentucky counties can apply for low-interest loans to help them recover from April’s storms.

That includes Breckinridge, Bullitt, Calloway, Daviess, Garrard, Grayson, Hancock, Hart, Henderson, Henry, Jefferson, LaRue, Lincoln, McLean, Meade, Muhlenberg, Nelson, Ohio, Oldham, Pendleton, Powell, Trimble, Warren and Webster counties.

Those who need to repair or replace real estate, machinery and equipment and other inventory can borrow up to $2 million from the Small Business Administration.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans, which help businesses that can’t meet their financial obligations, are also available in 18 other counties.

That includes Allen, Barren, Campbell, Casey, Crittenden, Green, Harrison, Kenton, Lee, Marion, Menifee, Metcalfe, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Simpson, Taylor, Union and Wolfe counties. It also includes the Indiana counties of Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick, and Ohio’s Clermont County.

Those affected can apply online, by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov or by calling at 800-659-2955.

Three business recovery centers are also open in Elizabethtown, Madisonville and Paducah to help with the application process.

The deadline to apply for property damage loans is June 23. The deadline for economic injury applications is January 26 of next year.
