Two manufacturing companies are building a presence in northern Kentucky.

Bakery manufacturing company Bakery Express Mid Atlantic opened a facility in Boone County Monday. The Maryland-based company is investing more than $20 million into the Bakery Express Midwest plant, and is creating more than 200 jobs.

The company will produce baked goods to businesses in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee.

In Pendleton County, a metal manufacturing plant is being established. Paragon Metal Fabricators is investing $6 million into a new facility and creating another 40 jobs. It’s the company’s second such plant in Kentucky.

The facility was announced by Gov. Andy Beshear Thursday.
