Flood victims in 22 Kentucky counties eligible for Small Business Administration loans

Flood victims in Knott County (shown here) and 21 other Kentucky counties are eligible for a variety of U.S. Small Business Administration loans.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced flood victims in 22 Kentucky counties are eligible for low-interest loans.

Small Business Administration physical damage and economic injury loans will be available to residents, businesses and nonprofits in 11 counties. Homeowners and renters can apply for home and personal property replacement loans worth up $100,000 and homeowners for up to $500,000 to replace or repair their primary residence.

The SBA says small businesses and most private nonprofits in 11 adjacent counties can apply for economic injury disaster loans.

Businesses and nonprofits in the 22 counties are eligible for loans worth up to $2 million for replacements and repairs.

Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Lee, Letcher, Martin, Owsley, Perry and Pike.

Bell, Estill, Jackson, Johnson, Knox, Laurel, Lawrence, Leslie, Magoffin, Powell and Wolfe.
