Chick-fil-A's new distribution facility in Kenton County will provide 178 jobs by 2029, according to the governor's office.

Chick-fil-A has announced plans for a $100 million distribution facility in Kenton County that Governor Beshear says will provide 178 fulltime jobs by 2029. The plant will supply company restaurants. Lee Crume is the president and CEO of BE NKY Growth Partnership, which helped recruit the company. He said they had to find a site that fit Chick-fil-A’s needs.

“One of the things that was really important to them was to have a rail serve site, and so you need not only the site, but also then connectivity with the rail line, which in this case was Norfolk Southern and then, you know, the developer to make sure that the building could be built the way that they do it.”

Crume said wage and benefit packages will be strong.

“This, you know, for us in this business, you know, if you think about kind of singles, doubles, triples and home runs, this is a solid kind of double triple project that you can really build a community off of.”

The 270,000 square-foot facility will be built on 28 acres, according to the governor’s office.
