KY Council on Postsecondary Education announces new healthcare scholarships for southeast Kentucky students

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education announced $91,000 worth of new scholarships for students pursuing healthcare careers at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education announced $91,000 worth of new scholarships for students pursuing healthcare careers at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Students pursuing degrees in healthcare in southeast Kentucky have a few extra reasons to be thankful this holiday season.

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education announced a total of $91,000 in new scholarships for students at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College. According to a news release, $70,000 will be for nursing students and the remainder for those studying to become physical therapist assistants. The scholarships are in collaboration with Appalachian Regional Healthcare in an effort to assist local and regional workforce needs.
