An online survey from Kentucky Emergency Management will help provide aid for victims of Memorial Day’s severe storms.
The agency’s Disaster Needs Survey would help victims register for emergency shelters and other services. It will also collect information about other needs that are still unmet.
The survey was also used to coordinate emergency response efforts during the 2022 eastern Kentucky floods.
A release from Kentucky Emergency Management says they’ve tweaked the survey to make it more user friendly and to give more immediate assistance to survivors.
The Memorial Day storms killed at least six people, and caused widespread property damage. FEMA recently opened Disaster Recovery Centers in response.
Storm survivors can register online, in person at any FEMA Disaster Recovery Center or by calling KYEM at 502-607-6665.
