This Friday U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy David M. Turk will travel to Shelbyville, for a major economic announcement.

Turk will join Governor Andy Beshear to highlight the Department of Energy’s recent announcement of the largest investment in industrial decarbonization in American history. This is expected to help reinforce America’s global manufacturing capabilities in the clean energy economy.

Deputy Secretary Turk will join Governor Beshear at Wieland Copper Recycling. The company received $270 million dollars to expand its U.S. recycling capacity and capabilities.

The Deputy Secretary and the Governor will discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration’s investments are supposed to boost local economies in the Bluegrass State, and lower costs for American families and businesses.
